Join us for a Weekend Knitting Adventure!
Meet new friends, learn new knitting techniques, enjoy delicious food, and get an advance copy of the final leg of the Pacific Coast Tour MKAL!
We’re hosting our first Knitting Escapades retreat at the Embassy Suites in Valley Forge, PA (just outside of Philadelphia and right next door to King of Prussia), from August 9-11, 2024. We can’t wait to meet you in person!
Registration Details
Click the button below to register for the retreat. The retreat cost of $449 includes the Friday night dinner at Fogo de Chao, Saturday’s classes*, lunch, and dinner, and Sunday’s open-knitting session.
Hotel reservations are to be made and paid for independently with the hotel. Be sure to mention “Knitting Escapades” to receive our group rate of $164 per night plus fees and taxes. Click this link for details about accommodations.

Friday Night
Kickoff Dinner - 6 p.m.
We’ll begin on Friday night with a feast at Fogo de Chao, a Brazilian steakhouse that has much, much more than steak. You’ll enjoy a beautiful atmosphere, while waiters come to your table and offer a variety of meats, from steak to chicken to fish. If you’re a vegetarian, it’s not a problem: The salad bar is beyond compare! Dinner includes a full buffet experience, a dessert of your choice, and your choice of tea, coffee, and sodas.
Immediately after dinner, we’ll give you a sneak peek of the finished Pacific Coast Tour shawls, and you’ll receive the instructions for the final leg. No one will stop you from knitting at the table in this group! You’ll be able to finish your shawl a week ahead of everyone else—maybe even by the end of the weekend!
Saturday
Find Your Perfect Yarn
Throughout the day, you’ll be able to shop a bright, colorful array of Cynthia’s own hand-dyed yarn (and more!).
Breakfast On Your Own
Breakfast is on your own, but if you’ve stayed in the Embassy Suites, you’ll enjoy a full hotel breakfast of made-to-order omelets, hash browns, oatmeal, breads, fresh-cut fruit, and more!

Evening On Your Own
You’ll be on your own that evening. (We suggest an excursion to the gigantic King of Prussia mall, which is 5 miles up the road.)
Sunday Morning
Fond Farewell
In the morning you can again enjoy a hotel breakfast if you’ve stayed at the hotel. We’ll meet for informal knitting in the comfortable hotel atrium until about 11:30 a.m., and then head home, happy to have met new knitting friends!
